Compress Larger Media Files with VLC Player

VLC is one of the most widely used Windows media player around the globe. It is the first application that Windows users tend to download and install on their PC/Laptop. VLC use to watch movies and play music. A major reason is the ease of use and customization features. VLC also have a feature from which you can Compress the Video size.

Download VLC 2.2.4

1. Open VLC Player

First of all Download & install VLC player (Downloading will start by clicking on above green button). If you already downloaded than simply just open it and click on the "Media" (it will be on top left)

2. Click On "Convert/Save"

Now scroll down to the bottom & then click on "Convert/Save". You can also press Ctrl+R (Shortcut) on the keyboard.

3. Select The Path

Now, Click on "Add" to select the file which you have to compress.

4. Start The Process

After selecting the file (which have to compress) click on "Convert/Save" (in Right bottom).

5. Wait! Until Process Completed

Now VLC will convert the file. It will take several minutes, depend upon the actual file size & format.

Once the process completed just save that video into any folder as you wish.
